Seven months around your 65th birthday — three months before, your birthday month, and three months after.
Annual Enrollment Period
October 15 – December 7. Switch, join, or drop Medicare Advantage and Part D plans. Changes start January 1.
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment
January 1 – March 31. If you're in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch plans or return to Original Medicare once.
Special Enrollment Periods
Moving, losing employer coverage, qualifying for Extra Help, and other life events can open a window to change plans outside the usual dates.
